Vintage Fun and A Blast from my 80's Teenage Past

I found something this week at Goodwill that shocked my socks off.  I embarrassed my teenage daughter I got so excited.  I was looking through the magazines, and one after the other, I started pulling out copies of magazines...not just magazines LIKE the ones I had, some of the ACTUAL issues I had from 1983 and 1984.  They were mixed in with the the new magazines for 50 cents each!

These are just a few...the "heart throb" magazines still had the posters in them!  Can you imagine?  And the TEEN' Great Looks special edition was one I completely remembered having.

Yes, that's Sarah Jessica Parker on the left.

I had this poster in my 8th grade locker.

I had another ad printed at Costco...you guessed it, THERMOS!

I framed it with a Pyrex ad at put them in my dining room.

I found this vintage ice cream scoop at a local antique shop for $4 so I could make an ice cream display in my kitchen.

I redid my cart with summer colors

Those magazines are so much fun! I've found one from my childhood (80s) at Goodwill years ago. I wish I could find more. I found a really fun one from the 1970's, Co-Ed?, but there was only one issue. One thing that always surprises me is the lack of magazines at thrift stores... millions upon millions are printed every year. I guess they all get tossed?

Oh, I think my middle daughter had that magazine with Sarah J. Parker too. Fun to reminisce. I just found a small plaid cooler this past weekend. I love and collect thermos and plaid coolers. Love your ice cream display with the striped bowls! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
