It's June!

It's June and the yard sales are plentiful...and thrifts have a few things too for us thrifty vintage lovers!

Found this cute canister for only $5 at a little antique store.

A little Vera always brightens my day.  Found at a senior center shop for $2

I went to my first church rummage sale of the season.  I LOVE church sales.  So much vintage for so little cash!  I got this Daisy Citrus Pyrex casserole for $2.  I already have this (it's my favorite Pyrex pattern) so I sold this one.

Darling old grinder $1

A book to sell $1

Gonna sell these 1950's figurines from Japan at Christmas time ($1)

This was my favorite find of the sale.  Unused and in the original gift box.  Ekk!  $1

Found this cute woodsie tray for $3 at a small thrift

I literally went RUNNING to grab this at Goodwill for $5.99. (Apparently the more realistic pricers were on duty...some Pyrex has been $12 or more)  I have never seen Friendship Pyrex in the thrifts.  I love this pattern and only have one other piece with it.

Oh my.  I got some other coffee cans at a yard sale last month, and then found these at the little thrift near my daughter's school $3.50 each.  I'm really liking the vintage graphics.

I stumbled on the calendar plate at Goodwill for $2.  It's from 1911 and has the name of a local grocery on it.

I need to do a little more research, I'm intrigued.  Apparently lots of shops gave these away to customers.  I can't believe it survived for over 100 years.  I respect that!

The cans are all on top of the fridge.

A little display in the kitchen with my new Pyrex Friendship

And some white in the window sill with some garden flowers.

Enjoy the beauty of this season and the bounty of vintage treasures!

The old tins are very cool! I have one of Sarah Youngs books that you mentioned in your last post. It's very cool how God talks to us!
I battle with my eating...surrendering and then taking it back...

I love the calendar plate. Of course, I share your love for vintage so I love it all. I have followed your blog for a long time as Mamaw's Place. Due to a lot of stuff I won't go into, I am back to blogging. My new blog is www.thriftycountrygal.blogspot.com. I hope you will come and visit me there.

I had the same thought about Pyrex pricers at one of the stores I go to a couple times a month (too far to visit every day). They had a Spring Blossom Green casserole, mint with lid for $5.99. They were charging $12.99 for a lidless Spring Blossom Green fridgie once. $9.99 for a messed up Verde 404. All their Pyrex was priced right for once.

Church sales are the best, I just wish I didn't live such an intense, dealer based city.

I would have bought EVERYTHING!!! Love that apple canister. I have a major weakness for the old canisters no matter the condition. And you found vintage Christmas too? SCORE!!

Hanna & I are off to our first ever auction this morning alone without our husbands. Oh, this should be interesting...
