A Wow Week!

Church sale Christmas cloth $1

Ever had one of those weeks where you found more than one of those "wow" items?  I had one of those.  And actually, other than the things I always look for (linens, Christmas decor, Tomato pin cushions, dishes) most of the BIG vintage find items on my FIND list have been FOUND.

Church Sale milk glass tea set $3

So THIS is one of my BIG finds.  I really wanted this bread box, and always loved the idea of the set.  Well, at the "Nancy and Carol" yard sale this past weekend, sweet Nancy gave me this set for $12!

Then I stumbled into a small thrift an there was the large Golden Grapes bowl for $5.  I love this unique Delphite blue bowl!

I have been looking for a Pyrex butter dish for so long.  I didn't really care what pattern, just a butter dish.  I saw one once at an antique store but they wanted $15.  I just can't do that.  I waited, and at Goodwill this week I found this for $4!

Here's what I did with what I got...until I change it up again!

Just found this vintage can yesterday.  It was so funny...I found it in the hardware.  It has some paint drips down the back and was stuffed with old painting rags and no price.  I asked the lady, and she consulted with another lady.  I could tell they thought I was nuts.  When I got up there, she asked if I wanted the rags. "OH, no!  It's all about the vintage graphics,"  I said.  I explained that I would re purpose it.  She looked a little relieved.  "You mean without the label, you wouldn't of wanted it?"  she asked.  She was very relieved that I wasn't a wacko!  Haha.

Nice "WOW" finds! The Hi-C can put a smile on my face! I remember those cans :)

Glad you had a "WOW" week! Nice finds, too. Cherry tins are very sweet.

What's that thing on top of all the Pyrex bowls? A little plate with a girl on it? It looks interesting.

I had a "WOW" we in Ohio - I managed to check some items off my want list! Not for "WOW" prices, but still! Off the list.

As you know, I love tins and pick them up whenever they are cheap enough. I just love how sweet they look displayed and what awesome storage containers they are. You had an amazing week, didn't you?

Stacey, I love the milk glass tea set and your collection of tin items is just wonderful! Still trying to add to mine. Not having much luck running across them. $12 for the set was an awesome price. The Hi-C story made me smile. We are crazy, but not THAT crazy! lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
