I found a vintage soda crate at a yard sale this week. I knew right away what I'd do with it! It has one broken slat, but I think it adds charm...I'm not a fan of perfection ;)

Church Sale and Alittle More Autumn
Well, I stumbled on a sign for a church sale I've been too before. I always find things! I got there early and waited for opening: I got all this for $6
A Nice little pile of buttons on the cards and a tomato pin cushion (my new love) |
Two pieces of primary Pyrex |
A couple sets of pillow cases |
Cute little kitchen odds and ends |
Some very old...and come to find out...very rare children's books. |
Anyone remember Dressy Bessy? |
Shiny and Brites |
A Little Fall Display |
I found a set of two of these adorable snack plates for Fall Decorating (Value Village $5 for all) I displayed one... |
Ahhh....I hate when pictures won't turn! The other I used on the kitchen table with a pumpkin candle. I love Autumn! |
This will be my last post for awhile. Life is getting rather busy this Fall and something's gotta go! We'll see what happens....but for now, I need to take a break :)

Labor Day Finds
I went to a few thrifts, and a yard sale. I did pretty good!
Found this at a thrift for 55 cents. Then went back and found another! I Loved Holly Hobbie as a kid.
This was also at a thrift for 50 cents. My second.
I was super thrilled to see this mint condition Mod Pyrex for $4. I got rid of mine during my major Pyrex purge and regretted it.
And I couldn't resist this "Sleepy Time Tea" tray for 50 cents.
This is the start of my outdoor Fall display. I already had the cake carrier with the acorn...I just got the Thermo pot for $1 at a yard sale. LOVE the color.
Hobnail vase $1 at a yard sale
This was all at the same yard sale. A vintage Christmas tin, Santa Coca Cola glasses and a cute Melamine mug. All 25 cents each.
Remember this ad slogan from the 70's? 10 cents at the yard sale
This Pyrex bowl was 50 cents at the same sale. I'm wondering if it is part of the all yellow set.
This little angel used to have something hanging from her hand. I just thought is was so cute! Thrifted for 50 cents.
I am soooo excited about this! My 93 year old grandma...the one who makes all the cute tea towels...just found a quilt that her mother made in the 40's. It's not backed, so I'm going to look in to having it finished. Grandma said it's made from mostly feed sack material. (Have I mentioned how much I love Feed Sack material?) This is so exciting. I have a family heirloom and didn't know it!
It was a pretty good last weekend before school. Tomorrow everything amps up for me. I will have to start checking ads for Estate Sales as the weather changes. It's been a great summer with my family and vintage hunting! --Stacey
