Linens and Snowflakes!

I've had better luck with pricing and finding things at thrifts the last few weeks!  Here's what I've picked up!

I've been reading "The Kitchen Linens Book" and so was inspired when I found the above printed linen towel and the below embroidered one for only 50c each!

I love the fabric on this 60's apron I found at Goodwill for 99c

These trays were in the "metal" section at Goodwill and were unmarked so she gave them to me for the standard 69c each!  I loved Holly Hobbie as a kid.  They are dated 1976

Time to brag on my husband.  He went to a meeting in a town about 45 minutes away on his Birthday.  First I get this phone call..." I'm in Goodwill and there is this really shallow rectangle pan with snowflakes on it for $4.99, do you want it?"  Space Saver!  Yipee!  Then later in the day he calls again, "I'm at an Estate Sale...it's late in the day but there is this big bowl that is turquoise with people on it for $5."  The poor guy had no cash, and took time to have them hold it and go get cash!  Then, that same day I was at a different Goodwill and found the second Space Saver that's a little deeper for $5.99!

A random garage sale yielded this box of Shiny Brites for 50c!

And finally, this 444 Pyrex blue beauty at a "Betty and Nancy" yard sale for $5.  These are the two adorable seniors that used to have an antique shop and have regular sales of the remains in the garages.

It's been a pretty fantastic couple of weeks!

Lots of Vintage Fun!

Wow!  It's been busy...but I do have a little time for decorating and thrifting!

This is my kitchen's tea area

I've got a new collection of vintage tomato pin cushions!

I was on my way to a wedding when I saw the estate sale sign.  We stopped...but it was late in the afternoon.  However, this beauty was waiting for me...50 cents!

My sweet Mom brought this back for me from the Rosie museum.

I haven't had much luck at Goodwill lately.  They have jacked up the prices.  I did, however find this Jadite plate for 50% off to my surprise.  $3.50

Remember my Christmas dig?  Well, I went back when they got everything out. This is a pepper shaker from Napco, and a tiny bottle brush tree.

A tiny santa candle and a box of mini ornaments

This set of 6 came in the box and is by Shiny and Brite.  I LOVE these.

I love this paper snowman

And a Gurley candle box...not in perfect condition, but displayable.  None of the Christmas stuff was over $1 :)

Hope you find some fun Christmas stuff, friends!

Oh, Christmas!

So, there's this little thrift store I frequent.  I just went in there and found these two packages of Christmas lights for $2 each!  They have amazing graphics!  One of the gals that is always in there tells me that I can put my name on a list and dig through the bin of Christmas they have in back!  Seriously????

So I went in there today and they said there was some stuff to dig through.  They are the nicest ladies EVER.  They helped me dig and then gave me each item for 50c each!

This a music box from Japan

LOVE this tin ball from the 50's that used to hold candy

This is marked East Germany

October!

It's already October!  I can't believe how fast it's gone.  Between hauling my kids everywhere, being a MOPS mentor Mom, working at a downtown shop, managing my antique booth, and all the duties of pastor's wife, wife-wife, mother, etc....I've been rather busy!

Thought I'd share alittle of my Fall fun.  Sorry for the flash photography...no more beautiful sunny days to photo shoot in!

You say tomato, I say tomaaato!

I love plaid.  I decided it was time to put some out for Fall!

I filled my overnight case with my melamine collection of cups and bowls and other goodies

The toy fridge moved to the laundry room with the door closed so you can see the pink handle!

My Grandma keeps craning out the tea towels...this is a new favorite

Kitchen display with a new sugar find

I framed a 1962 Pyrex ad I found in a magazine...love it!

Added a white pumpkin outside...and the bird.

More Fall on the porch

My favorite find of the month...Edwards coffee can with all the pots.  It was in a thrift in the hardware section....full of nails for $1.27.  I bought it, dumped the nails in a bag for hubby and put it with my collection!

Happy October!
